Wild Apple Ranch
3625 Luesing Road
Levering, Michigan 49755
Wild Apple Ranch is in rural Northern Michigan just outside the old town of Levering. It is twelve miles south of the Mackinaw Bridge, and close to Harbor Springs, Boyne Highlands, and Petoskey. It is just seven miles from Pellston Regional Airport.
Our eighty acres are peppered with wild apple trees and tall cottonwoods which provide shade in the summer and offer shelter on wintery days. Our pastures are kept cool and fresh by breezes from nearby Lake Michigan. The hayfields of neighboring farms contribute to picturesque views of the countryside.
We have three pastures for good-weather grazing. A special area with extra trees and small valleys serves as winter turnout and allows free-choice access to the barn.
Our 60-ft. round pen turnout is available for horses whose recovery regimen specifies only limited exercise, and who must be segregated from other horses. In this round pen, a horse is safely away from other horses, but within close proximity to other horses in regular pastures. The sunny environment surrounded by shady apple trees, close to the barn, affords an opportunity for special care and observation in a comfortable and natural setting.
With our caregivers, your horse has the opportunity to explore trails that meander through meadows and woods. Our land is unique and natural, peaceful yet stimulating.
