Jensen's Animal Hospital Satellite Infirmary

Safety and Health

Wild Apple Ranch is now a satellite infirmary for Jensen's Animal Hospital. This cooperation allows easier access to equine veterinary care for many clients, and also provides a safe and comfortable respite for the horse awaiting or undergoing treatment.

A horse requiring diagnosis, acute care, or prolonged treatment may be brought to Wild Apple Ranch, and the Jensen's Animal Hospital veterinarian will be notified to come on farm call or emergency farm call as necessary. This can save valuable time, lessen trailer fatigue, avoid traffic problems, and provide immediate first response aid. While preliminary comfort is given to the horse, symptoms and conditions may be given to the veterinarian by phone to aid in preparation for seeing the horse.

In cases where the horse may require several treatments, boarding at Wild Apple Ranch is available and carries the advantage of 24-hour caregiving. Whether the treatment is wound cleaning and re-bandaging, timed administering of medications, ice therapy or basic observation, all treatments will be carried out according to the specific instructions and permission of the veterinarian.

Horses requiring hospital care may also rest and recuperate at Wild Apple Ranch before and after surgical or other procedures, particularly when extended care or observation is prescribed. Trailering to or from your home or hospital destination may often be possible, and may be arranged upon request.

Jensen's Animal Hospital clients wishing to pursue alternative therapy or diagnosis for their horse by Dr. Pamela Graves, DVM, are also welcomed. The quiet country environment and helpful assistance to the veterinarian by Janelle Smalley may provide the ideal setting for a successful session of Applied Kinesiology, Nutritional Response Testing, Chiropractic, or other natural healing methods.

Our infirmary and partnership with Jensen's Animal Hospital is created to give the finest of equine care, and offer simplicity and peace of mind to the equine owner in bestowing that care.
